South Country Co-op Pays back over $10.4 million

SOUTH COUNTRY CO-OP PAYS BACK OVER $10.4 MILLION DOLLARS IN CASH FOR 2016

Norm Rubbelke, President/Chairman of the Board, on behalf of the Board of Directors of South Country Co-op is happy to announce that they are paying back their members in a big way this year! We are a unique organization in that we share our profits with our members. When you do your shopping, whether it is Agro products, gas, food, liquor, pharmacy etc, you have a choice. And when you choose Co-op it pays. Choosing to shop at a Co-op not only offers you cash back, but also supports local initiatives.  This year our general cash repayment has changed from 35% to 60% of your 2016 equity allocation allowing us to pay much higher amounts of cash to our members. When you shop at Co-op you will receive a larger refund at the end of the year. The allocation for 2016 is 13.6 million dollars based on a payback of 5% on Dyed fuel, 5% on clear fuel, 10% on oil and grease, 10% on propane, 3.5% on Agro/Hardware, 3.5% on crop supplies, 2% on tires, 0.5% on fertilizer, 3% on groceries, 9% on pharmacy and 3% on liquor with $10.4 million paid back in cash to our members. Cheques will be in the mail beginning April 1, 2017. We are very proud to be able to give back to the communities in which we work, live and play.
